The bathroom routine, reimagined

  • The light does the asking

A green light at the sink tells your child it’s time, so the reminder never has to come from you.

  • They press Go

One big orange button starts the routine. The guide voice coaches every step from there.

  • You do the cheering

Four gold stars, then the guide calls a grown-up over. That’s your cue for the high-five.

The missing minute

The ADA recommends brushing for two minutes, twice a day. When researchers watched 45 families brush their young children’s teeth at home, the average was 62 seconds. Klaar runs the full two minutes in four 30-second zones.

  • 2%

of parents in that study brushed for more than two minutes. 22% had said they did.

  • 59%

of parents say their child brushes for at least two minutes on all or most days. That’s their own estimate, for kids aged 4 to 17.

  • 1 in 2

children aged 6 to 9 has had a cavity.

Why we built it

[Start with the moment you decided to build this: a real night at your sink, and what your kid said.]

Most fixes for the brushing fight still need a grown-up to start them. So we put the reminder at the sink instead. A green light asks, your child presses Go, and the guide voice coaches every step. You get to be the one who cheers.

[Say who you are in a line or two: your name, your family, where you live.]

Questions parents ask

Shipping, privacy, water, and what happens at the sink.

When will my pre-order ship?

Pre-orders ship in December. We’ll email you with tracking when yours is on its way.

If our date changes, we’ll email you the new date before the old one passes. You choose: wait, or cancel for a full refund.

Why is it 40% off right now?

Families who pre-order get Klaar for $99. After launch it goes to its regular price of $165.

When am I charged?

[Say when the card is charged: at checkout, or when the order ships.]

Does it need Wi-Fi, an app or an account?

No. You set everything up on the unit itself, behind a 4-digit PIN. Updates download from our website and load over the cable, using Chrome or Edge on a computer.

How many kids can use it?

Up to four. Each child gets a profile with their name, picture, age mode and hand tone. Their picture shows whose turn it is.

What ages is it for?

Kids aged 2 to 7. You pick an age mode for each child, so the pictures suit them. The ADA advises that an adult helps with or supervises young children’s brushing, so stay close while they use it.

Can it get wet?

It’s splash-tested to IPX4, so splashes from the sink are fine. Keep it on the counter, away from running water, and never hold it under the faucet.

Does it add screen time?

The screen only shows the picture for each step while a routine runs: two minutes for teeth, about a minute for hands. There are no videos, games or music.

Does it have a camera or a microphone?

There’s no camera. There is a microphone, so you can record a hello and a few cheers for each child. It only gets power while you’re recording, and a red light shows when it’s on.
